With this growing trend, there is a high demand for accomplished engineers who can design, develop, and maintain networked hardware and software.
If you are fascinated with technology and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you have the traits of a successful candidate for the fast-paced field of network engineering, network administration and technical support.
The program prepares students and includes an opportunity to become certified through Microsoft (MCP, MCSA, MCSE), Comp TIA (A+, Network+) and Cisco CCNA (Certified Cisco Network Associate) – certificates that are recognized internationally. Wherever there are computer networks, computer systems engineering professionals find ready and lucrative employment.
This course focuses on critical aspects of networks, computer systems and application development, extending to database systems and human-computer interaction.
You will gain academic knowledge in the areas of computer systems with the possibility to broaden your skills through a year-long study programme with the chance of finding suitable work placement.

There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this qualification. However, we need to assess your current level through our internal initial assessment test, and learners are expected to have the following skills or relevant work experience:
All universities require Maths and English GCSE at Grade C/4 or Functional skills level 2. We require you to have at least one of these to join our course and can support you to find a suitable course to gain the other alongside the course.
